MAbBoost: first session on December 16th and 17th 2020

LabEx MAbImprove offers PhD training as part of its renewed education programme: this training course, called MAbBoost, is intended for all PhD students from doctoral schools in Tours and Montpellier.

The first session will take place on December 16th and 17th 2020 in digital format, and will be led by Florian Mignot from the company Promega around the following theme:

“You have a candidate antibody from academia, how can you characterize it and carry out the first studies to make it a developable therapeutic product?”

The objective of MAbBoost is to confront students, through workshops, with a concrete scientific problem encountered by the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry around themes relating to the development, production and innovation of therapeutic antibodies. The training will be led by a professional who will present a case study. In small groups interacting with the speaker, the doctoral students will have to develop strategies aiming to solve the problem, then will compare their approach and scientific methodology. The training will be offered over three consecutive years, at the rate of 2 sessions / year, with a different theme for each session. The 2nd training session will be held during spring 2021.

If you are interested in participating in this training or would like more information, please contact the leaders of the Educational Task Force: Laurie Lajoie in Tours and Laurence Guglielmi in Montpellier.
