The chemistry-physics laboratory of monoclonal antibodies in team of the EA 6306, in connection with the UBCO (Unité de Biopharmacie and Clinique et Oncologique) of the University Hospital of Tours, studies the environmental factors which could explain the formation of monoclonal antibody aggregates (training, stability…). Taking into account the potential aggregation intrinsic of each antibody, according to its primary structure and its formulation, these analyses also aim to assess the consequences of the occurrence of these aggregates on in vitro recognition of antigen-antibodies and on in vivo adverse effects.
The complementarity of the UBCO to the University Hospital of Tours is essential for conveying expertise on clinical use and relevant environmental factors linked to clinical use. Finally, this unit is an interface for pharmaceutical and medical resources (supply of commercialized mAbs) indispensable to the project.
