Call for candidates: Full professor (PU-PH) tenured position in immunology

The University of Tours is a multidisciplinary institution of higher education and research deeply involved in the field of biopharmaceuticals and therapeutic antibodies, notably through the coordination of the MAbImprove Laboratory of Excellence (LabEx), a Tours and Montpellier two-site programme funded since 2011.

The Faculty of Medicine and the University Hospital of Tours are recruiting a full professor in immunology (PU-PH, CNU sub-section 47-03) for 2021.The objective is to reinforce research in immunology, including translational research, as well as teaching. The scientific positioning will have to take place both at the core and on a cross-cutting theme of research of MAbImprove. The applicant will have to build up a research team, within a research unit of the University. Clinical and translational approaches in the field of immunomodulation are required, and will be developed within the immunology department of the University Hospital. The successful candidate will have access to state-of-the-art facilities, including for bioproduction. In the next years, he/she is expected to coordinate the MAbImprove programme.

To help the candidate build up his/her team, MAbImprove will provide a 500k€-Starting Grant. This package includes a 3-years senior scientist salary, a 3-years post-doctoral fellow salary, funding for a PhD student and 50k€ of running costs.

 The call is open to senior scientists of any nationality who may reside in any country in the world at the time of application. Applicants must have full capacities in French and English. MD or PharmD degree is not a prerequisite to apply, but it is mandatory for the candidate to develop a clinical project within the University Hospital. Applicants must have defended their HDR degree (French habilitation for PhD supervision) by 31/12/2020 at the latest, or have demonstrated equivalency.
